Nelle intenzioni, doveva essere uno dei punti di forza dello sviluppo turistico della marina Sanverese, oggi rappresenta l'ennesimo monumento allo spreco realizzato dalla nostra classe politica (che tanto vaneggia sulla risorsa turismo). Sono state realizzate diverse costruzioni, con tanto di impianti di scarico predisposti, tombini, docce ecc.-realizzate interamente con soldi pubblici- che avrebbero dovuto ospitare la struttura di un campeggio- oggi sono solo casupole fatiscenti, completamente abbandonate e lasciate al degrado più completo.Al loro interno ( come vedete dal nostro video qui in alto ): reti, materassi marci, blocchi divelti e sporcizia ovunque. A quasi trent’anni di distanza dall’inizio dei lavori, il campeggio comunale di Sa Mesa Longa- una delle località balneari più belle e attraenti dell’oristanese – (letteralmente a due passi dalla nostra Su Pallosu )– è soltanto l’ennesima incompiuta; il classico esempio di come una valida iniziativa possa trasformarsi in uno spreco di risorse pubbliche , senza alcun risultato in positivo. La progettazione e la realizzazione delle strutture hanno avuto inizio nel lontano 1982 . Per alcuni anni l’area del campeggio ha ospitato la colonia estiva dei “ Centri Rousseau ”, accogliendo durante i mesi estivi numerosi gruppi di ragazzi provenienti principalmente dalla Lombardia, entusiasti di quest’angolo di paradiso, con la lunghissima spiaggia di Sa Mesa Longa che termina la dove inizia il maestoso promontorio di Capo Mannu e lo straordinario mare dall’acqua cristallina.
