Pallosu not leave indifferent those who, knowingly or by accident, comes to you.
The small seaside village that seems to set in another dimension, has fascinated and "bewitched" many artists and cultural figures who for several years now frequent it regularly, drawing inspiration.

Even Sabina Guzzanti , incisive and committed actress-director-imitator (Biography on http://www.sabinaguzzanti.it/biografia/ ) in the early 2000s, has had the opportunity to know and appreciate Pallosu (a place that is at the end of the world, then you have nothing , say) and some of his characters' history, "as the Corallaro Geppetto, wise man and a great storyteller (which we discussed on this blog). A bond born thanks to my friend, Stefano Benni (pictured below right to Pallosu) writer who spent long periods of inspiration and holidays.
And here Guzzanti-well known (among others) for its tremendous and successful imitation of Berlusconi and D'Alema, in the home and workshop of Geppetto, has decided to set his film " for the Lobster, "whose original title was supposed to contain - so it seems - the name of" Pallosu.
Filming started a few months after the disappearance of Geppetto (ed. Corallaro and one of the historical characters of Pallosu) , which occurred in March 2006. After a survey carried out in September (directly by Sabina Guzzanti accompanied by a few employees), the cast and crew arrived in early October, occupying several rooms of the hotel and some private houses rented.

Si è creato subito un clima da “rimpatriata” tra vecchi amici, ossia buona parte dei componenti del gruppo di “ Avanzi ”, il programma satirico cult televisivo degli anni 90’: Pier Francesco Loche, Antonello Fassari, Cinzia Leone, Francesca Reggiani, Stefano Masciarelli .

Il film è una sorta di documentario-reality - falso, ma anche vero - divertente e a tratti commovente per la sincerità dei protagonisti che mostrano le proprie fragilità; un film che racconta l’Italia di oggi. E’ la storia del Group "Leftovers " that is found after fifteen years Pallosu, isolated and "out of this world", where he fled into exile Pier Francesco Loche. You decide to put on a show in support of the lobster fishermen, and between them there is also Gianni Usai, a former worker at the Fiat and a former trade unionist whose presence generates enthusiasm, doubts and uncertainties, however, seem slowly take over before the show, until it will go up on stage.

Durante la permanenza a Su Pallosu l’hotel e la casa di Geppetto sono stati i punti di riferimento degli attori e della troupe, con grandi cene conviviali piacevoli e divertenti, dove non mancava mai la vernaccia e il “filu ferru” forniti generosamente dagli amici sardi.
Le riprese sono durate poco meno di un mese (sono terminate il 30 ottobre 2006).
Il film è stato presentato alla Mostra di Venezia 2007 alle “Giornate degli autori” riscuotendo un indiscutibile successo di critica e di pubblico.

An amusing anecdote was told by Pier Francesco Loche (pictured above at the Hotel Pallosu) on Sarda :
"I had to shoot a short scene, a few seconds, eradicating weeds from the road. The camera was far away, I have not heard him stop, and undaunted, I continued to pull away weeds. The others were talking, preparing other scenes, no one said anything for a few minutes and I've continued diligent wondering what kind of sequence will be? I think I've cleared half Sinis: I ask for the damage? ".

The choice of Pallosu use as location for a film was not the first time in assoluto.Come we have seen in this blog

This shows clearly the small seaside village and the Sinis usually have all the credentials to become an amazing set to open and attract new films, the movie "Sympathy for the Lobster" was undoubtedly a very important opportunity to promote turistica.Occasione that has not been properly grasped and exploited by local government as a vehicle to promote the area.
